The Close app helps festivals to start responsibly
The first large-scale festivals will start again this weekend, such as Amsterdam Roots Festival, Verknipt and Boulevard Outdoor. However, various corona measures are still in force. Close helps the organisers stay in touch with the visitors, so everyone adheres to the rules as much as possible.
From June 30, the government has decided that festivals can continue without major restrictions. Visitors do not have to wear a face mask, and the one and a half meter distance can also be released. However, they must have themselves tested in advance or have a vaccination certificate. To be in direct contact with the visitor, Amsterdam Roots Festival, Verknipt and Boulevard Outdoor have opted for the Close app as a direct communication channel.
Via the app, they will not only inform visitors about the house rules, but also directly communicate with them personally. “The festivals keep visitors informed about everything related to their festival visit via the Close app. Visitors can find their entrance ticket, information about testing for access, and the Corona Check app in the app.”
In addition to all the information and resources to access the event, visitors will also receive information about the festival program. “Think of push messages about time slots. After the festival, users will be asked for feedback. Among other things, how the visitor experienced the festival and how the rules regarding the corona virus were followed, so that the organisers know what to pay extra attention to.”
“The Fieldlab events have shown how important communication between organisation and visitor is”
Kiliaan Toorenaar, founder and CEO of Close: “It is fantastic to see that festivals and large-scale events are allowed again. Because we made a successful contribution to the Fieldlab events with Close, it has become clear how important communication between organisation and visitor is. Even when face masks are abolished, a communication app remains essential to ensure that an event runs safely and smoothly.”
Vital role Field lab events
Crowd control was important for the organisation of the Fieldlab events. Close was chosen by the organisation as the communication app for all Fieldlab trial events. As a result, it facilitated, among other things, all automated reporting with visitors
