Close integrates CoronaCheck app for faster access control

As of today, the CoronaCheck app has been integrated into Close, the app used, among other things, during all Fieldlab events to communicate with visitors. At the end of last week, it was announced that app providers can directly refer to the CoronaCheck app.

Thanks to the integration, according to Close, many ticket providers and events in the Netherlands can apply this improved procedure in one fell swoop. Those who want to go to an event are often asked for a negative test result, proof of vaccination or proof of recovery. With CoronaCheck, you can show one of these proofs.

“However, this causes unnecessary delays at the entrance of football stadiums, zoos, museums and theatres, because in addition to the CoronaCheck app, the entrance ticket, often via another app or PDF, also has to be scanned. With the integration of the CoronaCheck in Close, that is now a thing of the past. Visitors can have both the valid QR code and the ticket scanned in the Close app at the touch of a button,” says the company.

Stage Entertainment is the first organisation to apply this integration in collaboration with ticketing partner Eventim. “From now on, theatre visitors can show the QR code in the CoronaCheck app, just like their tickets purchased via Eventim, directly via the Close app.” In the app, the visitor receives the entrance tickets and all practical information about parking, guidelines regarding the corona virus, such as walking routes and entrances, and, for example, a personal welcome message from a musical star.
